My daughter's boyfriend has a thoroughly modern and loving family and MOH and me were lucky enough to be invited to his Mum and "Step-Dad's" wedding recently.
They've been together for over 6 years and decided to make it all official and I wanted to make them a very special card as they are such a loving and deserving couple.
I didn't want to use a traditional bride and groom image so opted for a lovely Magnolia cupid image and I set about sympathetically colouring the image to match the colour scheme of my card . . . but when MOH saw the finished card he asked me why I'd used a 'fat baby' on it.
My very prompt but loving reply ladies was "that's Cupid . . . stupid", lol!!!
My card is a criss-cross easel card, made with an interactive kit bought from the Clipart Fairy, love the things that Wendy creates and they are always so adaptable to suit many purposes.
I printed the pieces on cream card from Ryman's and made up the card according to the instructions. I glittered the all the card edges using a Quickie glue pen and Glamour Dust and then decorated the arch points with little pearls, you can just about see them in the photograph below.
I stamped the sentiment on the easel stop using a Hunkydory clear stamp set. I have bought all the recent releases because I have been soooooo impressed by how well they stamp, very, very crisp images every time.
Most of the flowers used are from WOC. The wide burgundy ribbon was purchased at my local market.
Again the insert was stamped with some more of the sentiments from the Hunkydory pack. The fancy brad was bought from eBay.
Last photo which shows the insert fully outside the card and Wendy's attention to detail because even the inside is decorated.
I was really pleased with the finished card and box [which I forgot to photograph, doh!!!]
oh and the bride really liked it which made me happy :)
